About
Independent service. Official sources.
EU Safety Radar brings together the recalls and safety warnings published by the authorities in United Kingdom, so that anyone can check in seconds whether a product, brand, barcode or batch is affected.
Where the data comes from
- Food Standards Agency — food alerts — Food Standards Agency (FSA). www.food.gov.uk ↗
Source: Food Standards Agency. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. - Product Safety Alerts, Reports and Recalls (OPSS) — Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS). www.gov.uk ↗
Source: Office for Product Safety and Standards, GOV.UK. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Our system checks these sources automatically several times a day and imports new notices in the original language, without translation. Every alert page links to the original notice, which is authoritative.
How we present the alerts
- We show the product, brand, barcode and batch numbers only when they are included in the notice. Nothing is invented or guessed.
- Photos come from the official notices. We keep resized copies on our server so that pages load quickly.
- No alert status means a product is safe. The absence of an alert only means that there is no notice about it in our database.
Other editions
EU-wide alerts (RASFF, Safety Gate) and medicine safety communications of the EMA are in the English edition. Other countries have their own editions: English, English (Ireland), Bosanski, Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Íslenska, Italiano, Latviešu, Magyar, Македонски, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Română, Slovenčina, Suomi, Svenska.
