Salmonella Farsta in carnati de porc
Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.8879
Summary
The Romanian authorities have informed the EU that some pork sausages from Romania contain Salmonella Farsta, a type of bacteria that can cause serious illness. The presence of this bacterium exceeds safe levels and therefore these products are considered a safety risk. They were distributed to other European countries for sale as food.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
