Summary
The EU has issued a safety alert for disposable electronic cigarettes called RENdM TORNADO due to excessive nicotine levels, which can be toxic if ingested or come into contact with the skin. What is the risk?
- The product has an excessive volume of nicotine-containing liquid (38 ml). This could lead to the accidental consumption of a high dose of nicotine. Nicotine is acutely toxic and can endanger the user’s safety, notably if the product comes into contact with the skin or is ingested. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Tobacco Products Directive.
