Aflatoxinas en pistachos de Irán
Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.8381
Summary
Some shelled pistachios from Iran contain high levels of aflatoxins, which can be hazardous to human health. The aflatoxin levels in these pistachios exceed the maximum permitted limits set by EU regulations. These pistachios have been detained at a border control point in Spain and are not being distributed further within the EU.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
