Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.8010
Summary
The Netherlands has restricted distribution of a groundnut product (peanuts 38/42) imported from the United States after official market controls found aflatoxin B1 at 18 µg/kg and total aflatoxins at 20 µg/kg, both exceeding the EU limits of 2 µg/kg and 4 µg/kg respectively. The contamination with mycotoxins is classified as a serious risk. Distribution of the product is limited to the notifying country.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
