Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.9003
Summary
The EU has issued a safety alert for pickled vegetables from Pakistan because they contain undeclared sulfite, a known allergen. The products were distributed to Denmark and may also be found in other EU countries. Consumers who are allergic to sulfites should avoid eating these pickled vegetables.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
