Summary
Some green tea products from China have been found to contain excessive levels of pesticide residues, including tolfenpyrad, thiamethoxam, and lambda-cyhalothrin. These levels are above the maximum permitted limits set by EU regulations. The products have not yet been sold in the EU, but a consignment was detained at the border when it entered Latvia from China.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
