EU alert · RASFF Risk: Serious New Fruits and vegetables
Multiple pesticide residues in fresh longan from Cambodia
Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.9096
Summary
Fresh longan fruits from Cambodia contain high levels of pesticide residues, including imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, chlorothalonil, buprofezin, acetamiprid, and carbendazim. The levels of these pesticides exceed the maximum permitted limits in the EU. As a result, no longan from Cambodia is currently being distributed to the EU market.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
