Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.9160
Summary
The EU has issued a safety alert about certain cardamoms from India that do not have official certificates, which are necessary for safe trade. These products were intercepted at the border before they could be sold in the EU market. The risk level is considered low, but the products cannot be placed on the market until this issue is resolved.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
