Exceedance of the MRL for pesticide residues in a shipment of fresh cucumbers from Russia
Validated by the European Commission: · Ref. 2026.8817
Summary
Fresh cucumbers from Russia may contain higher levels of pesticide residues than allowed. A shipment has been detained at a border, and it is unclear if these products are already on sale in the EU. The pesticide pymetrozine was found in quantities above the permitted limit.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
